As a Canadian who fell in love with a South African and her incredible country, I’ve had the privilege of exploring its wonders firsthand – from the vibrant cities to the awe-inspiring wildlife. I’ve designed these intimate safari adventures specifically for mature, discerning travelers, seeking a more relaxed pace, a deeper appreciation for the unique beauty and culture of Southern Africa, and of course, a celebration of the area’s incredible cuisine.
Having regularly traveled to South Africa since the 1990s, I have an intimate understanding of what makes this such an exciting destination to visit. During our trips we will learn about the rich (and troubled) history of these countries, as well as enjoy spectacular food, have meaningful interactions with residents and enjoy the bucket list experience of a safari. With the mix of planned activities and free time in areas where you will feel safe, this trip will be something you will remember for a very long time.

Our itineraries will take us to Cape Town, known as the Mother City, known for Robben Island, Table Mountain and the Waterfront. From Cape Town we will visit Cape Point, Boulders Beach (home of a large penguin colony) and Hermanus – a small coastal village that has spectacular beaches, an amazing craft market, great vineyards and (if interested!) an opportunity to go shark cage diving.
Our trips also include Big Five safaris to Kruger, Madikwe and Welgevonden as well as the spectacular Garden Route, magnificent Victoria Falls and the top wildlife areas in Botswana and Namibia.

While traveling in Switzerland in the ’90s, Chris fell in love with a South African, setting the stage for a life filled with frequent journeys across the globe to visit his new family in South Africa.
Over the years, he has explored the country extensively with his loved ones, witnessing its transformation since the end of apartheid. With a passion for discovering new destinations, uncovering hidden gems, and indulging in South Africa’s diverse culinary scene, Chris is always seeking authentic experiences to enhance your journey. He has a keen interest in the complexities of South African politics and society and will share his insights with you throughout your adventure.
